AN INTRODUCTION TO LIFE-STAGE

THE POWER IN CONSCIOUS AGEING

with discussion and Q+A

As you move on from mid-life, you may feel that the best years are behind you or that your time is fast running out. Many fear the loss of independence as they drift into later life. So, are we powerless? Far from it! Along with the challenges that come with growing older, we find a new inner power and wisdom that we could never have accessed (or even imagined) in our younger days.

While many feel ill-equipped to deal with growing older, recent scientific research in neuroplasticity reveals that we can reframe our ageing journey fundamentally.

It’s natural to question our identity after significant life events such as the end of working life, or the loss of a partner, but rather than becoming  fossilised versions of our younger self, we can continue growing and developing by transforming the fear of ageing and death into vital life-force.

At this session, we’ll discuss what steps we can take to empower ourselves in the second half  of life.

ADAM DUNCAN: Author & Life-Stage Director. Adam has over 40 years of designing and delivering training materials to large organisations such as Radisson Hotels, BBC and Amnesty International. Now 76, his  passion is preventing unnecessary suffering in later life by helping others  develop an awareness of their own inner resources.

LIFE-STAGE COMMUNITY Since 2019, over 750 people have attended Life-Stage events, mostly in Brighton and Sussex. We run monthly workshops and online discussions for members.
