About
Nicola and Marion will be facilitating this months Forum
Marion says;
I joined Life-Stage late in 2023 after an introductory talk from Adam at an event held during Brighton & Hove’s Living Well Festival. Reaching my early 70’s had prompted a bit of a reality check - after a life as a social worker with children and families, as a mother of two amazing children, and a long-divorced woman with a history of significant health problems.
The experience of shame has struck me as something we all have known, one way or another – and I thought it would be interesting to explore in a Life-Stage Forum
What is shame?
Where do feelings of shame originate?
Is there shame in growing older?
Is it about our ageing bodies or minds or something else?
Is shame experienced differently by women and men?
Hopefully we can get some clarity and support for each other in this next forum

LIFE-STAGE ONLINE FORUMS
Forums will be loosely structured around a different topic or question each month. The structure will develop over time to reflect the needs and wishes of participants. The Forum is for people in the second half of life and will focus on understanding our common experiences of ageing, as opposed to any specific belief systems or ideologies. We are a friendly and inclusive community -- all are welcome.
