LIFE-STAGE: Connections in Nature

As we grow older, how does our connection with Nature change?

Time and Location

22 Jun 2025, 13:30 – 17:30

Stanmer Organics, Falmer, Brighton BN1 9RG, UK

About

We will be in Stanmer Park at the Ecotherapy Centre for the Connections Workshop in June. We will be welcoming some of our members as well as a few new faces as we make further enquiries into our ageing journey. We’ll be exploring what it is we want at this stage of life and what gets in our way. We will be connecting up in the usual way and asking some simple but profound questions of each other. We will be sharing, listening and connecting to create a deeper perspective on life.

The second half of life has many profound challenges but with some awareness and commitment, we can experience the freedom of an inter-dependent universe. Despite the physical effects of ageing, it can be a time of wonder and joy when we ‘come into our own’. It requires an acceptance of mortality and a clear idea of what we want from this precious life.

Pat Beech is our special guest this month. I spend many weekends doing Rites of Passage work with Pat for young men. He is outdoor education instructor and therapist who has vast experience in transformational work. Pat help us mark the beginning of Summer with a ceremonial fire.
