About

It's natural to have concerns about ageing but how do you cope with growing older? Thinking about the future can bring up fear. The loss of friends and relatives. The loss of health. The loss of independence.

Our fear is a powerful source of energy. The crucial thing is how we respond to it that determines whether we age well or not. The fear of ageing is a wake-up call. You may press the snooze button but it probably time to stop dreaming. This vital source of energy can bring a fresh lease of life. It can focus the mind and rejuvenate. The fear of the growing older can create meaningful connection.

Or we can deny the fear. Pretend it doesn’t exist.  Push it under the carpet. Shrink in face of the unknown. Find distractions and addictions. Scroll endlessly through social media and streaming channels. Looking for something that probably doesn’t exist. Seeking  comfort and security but finding only isolation Anything to deny the fear of our vulnerability and mortality.

Our worries about growing older may prompt us to improve our diet, exercise more regularly or re-assess our finances. But whatever we do, we carry on ageing. The arrow of time only travels in one direction no matter how wealthy or healthy we are. Like a river, time cannot go backwards, but we can slow it down. We don’t have to try to keep up with the insane pace of technology. We can be like the lower stages of a vast river as it approached the ocean.  We can expand each moment to encompass the big picture of our lives. All of our past. All of our future. In the present moment

Life-Stage is about opening up an fresh conversation. About listening and sharing. About broadening our perspective. About developing the inner resources that all of us possess in order to age magnificently. It’s about expanding our inner landscape and creating connection.

These two hour sessions are a chance to dip your toe in the water. An opportunity to see if Life-Stage is something that you might like to explore further.  Even join our growing community perhaps?

I really enjoyed being there, listening to others and having the chance to listen more deeply to myself too.  I enjoyed all the questions, exercises and meeting such fantastic people. I can see why you are so passionate about the work.  It meant and gives so much to people. HELEN PROSPER

I found the day very enriching! The best for me is that you  manage to create a space for all of us to come together and explore!
